Hey! I'm Matt

Camera nerd. Car enthusiast. Pizza and tiramisu obsessive. Also your wedding videographer!

background element

I’m always up for an adventure, whether that’s a drive through the Peaks, travelling across Europe, or ticking off bucket list food spots. And by that, I don’t mean fancy restaurants. I mean Domino’s... I’m also a massive F1 fan, and if there’s a race on, chances are I’m watching it.

Day to day, I work full-time for Panasonic, so when I say I’m surrounded by cameras and tech all day, I mean it. That love of tech started when I was a kid. I built my own PCs, worked in a computer repair shop, and that's where I bought my first proper camera. It all eventually led me to study Film & TV Production at collage before eventually becoming a wedding videographer and I’ve been behind the camera ever since!

"The perfect video aside, Matt is a cracking guy and we thoroughly enjoyed having him there on the day!"

All About Me

I didn’t always film weddings. In fact, my journey into this world started by chance, when someone at work asked if I’d be up for filming theirs. I’d spent time working on corporate and travel videos, but this was different. It had real emotion, real people, and a story that meant something.
That first wedding video showed me just how powerful a film could be when it’s honest, personal, and full of life. I loved being there to capture it, but even more than that, I loved shaping it all in the edit. The moments they lived, the ones they missed, and everything in between. That was it for me. I knew I wanted to do more.
Six years later, I film weddings across Derbyshire, South Yorkshire, and beyond, telling stories in the most natural, cinematic way I can.

My Approach
Weddings shouldn’t feel like a film set. My job is to capture your day as it really happens, no fuss, no gimmicks, no cheesy posing (ok, maybe just a little bit but not much, promise!). Just you, your people, and the moments that matter.

I keep things relaxed. I blend into the background, let things unfold, and step in only when there’s something worth leaning into. A killer moment, a laugh about to erupt, or the chaos of the dancefloor (I’ll be right in there too).

Beyond the Camera
Outside of weddings, you’ll usually find me out for a drive. Whether it’s through the Peak District, to a local Cars & Coffee, or even across Europe.

A few years ago I was asked to film an epic 2,000 mile road trip across six countries in just six days - what an experience! In 2019 I decided to join as a guest, from the sweeping hairpins of Col de l’Iseran in France, to German autobahns and lakeside views at Lake Garda in Italy, it was the ultimate road trip. The roads, the car, and a soundtrack ranging from 70s rock to early 2000s pop. That blend of visuals, sound, and emotion? It’s probably no surprise I bring the same vibe into my wedding films.
